Jonathan Gubin is president of Capital InVentures, LLC
Jonathan has decades of business experience in finance, marketing, advertising, management, strategic planning, product positioning, branding, and sales. As a consultant he creates key strategies for corporate and business development.
He is a conceptual, facile, and versatile writer of all forms of business communications ranging from advertising to business plan writing to agreements. He is adept at taking complex material, digesting it and presenting it in easy-to-understand English. As a creative director and copywriter he has created and executed diverse print and broadcast adverting campaigns.
As a skilled networker, Jonathan has built, maintained and followed through on a national network of business relationships. These include a diverse and talented network of key executives with backgrounds in operations, finance, and marketing, as well as sources of capital.
His clients include aircraft manufacturing, gas and oil companies, financial services, alternative energy, consumer products; and more. He has started or taken equity positions in several companies.
Jonathan conceived, organized and chaired the U.S. Economic Renaissance Conference in New York City. The Conference was organized to present a varied body of opinion to business, financial and media leaders with the mission to bring manufacturing and industry back to the United States as a primal stimulus to economic recovery. Distinguished speakers included Rep Marcie Kaptur (D-OH) and Lynn Tilton, principal of Patriarch Partners, and academicians among others.
Earlier, Jonathan established Jonathan/McNeil Advertising, Inc., a full service New York advertising agency. Previously he had worked at Doyle Dane Bernback, Inc. (during the “Golden Age of Advertising”) and other world-class advertising agencies.
He has been on the Board of Directors of a NASDAQ public company. Jonathan earned a BA in History from the University of Connecticut and did postgraduate studies in American History at New York University.
Remarkably, and perhaps uniquely, Jonathan both started and ran two successful companies, first a New York advertising agency, then a New York investment banking firm.
Dianne Gubin, Principal
As an Investment Banker and Principal for Capital InVentures, Dianne actively sources deals and raises capital, introducing institutional investors, private equity, venture capital and Family Offices to CEOs and management teams seeking $10 million to over $500 million in debt and/or equity financing.
Dianne supports a portfolio of companies in a number of ways including becoming part of the management team, serving on the board of directors, sourcing key executives, and introducing clients and investors. Dianne prepares CEOs for investor meetings, develops investment materials and helps with operational issues, as needed. She has strong relationships and a solid network of corporate and financial investors.
Dianne’s background includes over 25 years in B-2-B sales and account management including work with Fortune 1000 and fast-growth companies. Industry experience includes staffing, technology, affordable housing, commercial mortgage, healthcare / biotech, consumer products, entertainment / media, energy, ethanol, aircraft, manufacturing and more.
Concurrent to her work with Capital InVentures, she is President of Amplify Professional Services Inc, an executive search and consulting agency including senior executive placement, staffing and consulting services across industry sectors.
Additionally, Dianne’s produced hundreds of executive level networking events for peer professionals in finance, technology and business. She is the Co-CEO of C-Sweet, a premier rapidly growing national networking association for female executives across industries.
Dianne is a 2023 Los Angeles Times Inspirational Women Forum and Leadership short list nominee; a 2022 San Fernando Business Journal Champion of Women Award winner; as well as a 2021 Los Angeles Business Journal Women's Leadership Award Honoree.
Dianne has outstanding business acumen, communication skills and emotional intelligence. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Dianne holds FINR Series 79, Series 7 and 63 licenses under GT Securities. She lives in Los Angeles with her family.
